BBC Breakfast featured this Eco House that has just won an award. It costs £15 a year to run for heat, electricity etc. Nothing special about it that I can see that Mike G hasn't already done/advocated apart from maybe floating the entire house on insulation.
Thing is the eco stuff cost £40,000 according to the architect Colin Usher. Which, leaving aside the benefits to the planet, is one hell of a long payback period surely?
I also wonder just how much of that £15 is down to an electricity rebate from the Govt(which can always change ie disappear).
Interested to hear Mike's thoughts on this.
