• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I have been visiting for some time gathering information for an upcoming workshop build.
Having been disappointed by the poor quality and high prices of “sheds” offered for sale and been inspired by builds I have read about here I have decided to build my own.
I am in my 50s and after a life changing accident retired from work some time ago. I started making boxes to keep my hands moving but found it a little heavy, purely by accident I started working with leather and have been playing at it for around five years.
We don’t have a lot of room in the house so a garden workshop is what I need.
I am sure I will be asking lots of questions so thanks in advance.
Michael

Welcome to the forum. You may well have stumbled on the most useful workshop-building resource in the whole of the UK. Do lots of reading in the "Workshop Builds" thread, and feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

Yo, Michael. Welcome from Mid-Devon.

I was a workshop virgin 3 years ago!!

Thanks for the welcome. I do have lots of questions but I will read a little more and see if I can find the answers first.

Hi Michael and a warm welcome from a fellow Northerner.

Whereabouts in the NE are you ?

Roger
