• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I was overwhelmed.

Hello my fellow chaps!

I had a fabulous experience today and thought I'd share it with you guys...

Some probably don't believe in after life and that's cool, but I do. I don't believe in coincidence at all. Our universe is so huge and very old... we're here for an average of say 80 years and then that's it? Can't be - there's more to it than that.

Today is my brother's birthday. He would have been 52. At the last minute this morning, I decided to go to the shop to glue up some work. Mrs P was still out on a call and as I didn't want to blow out my brother's candle, I waited for her return. When she arrived back home, I got into my bus and started her up. I very rarely switch on the radio and I never switch it on when I'm on the drive. But today, I did, and the song playing was my brother's favourite song - Sting's Fragile. This was also played at his funeral. I couldn't believe it, so I went back indoors to phone mother to give her comfort and the exact same experience had just happened to her as well! She never turns on the radio on a Sunday, but today she did, and by all accounts, the same time I did, only to hear Sting's Fragile playing.

The whole feeling was very overwhelming and very much a privilege. Some of you guys might say 'sorry, it's coincidence' and that's fine, but no way chaps, this was my brother coming through. I have no doubts.

Happy Birthday Roy! Miss you mate.

Paul, thank you for sharing. I am not religous, but do belive that there is something somewhere looking in ............ quite scary sometimes.

Cheers
Phil

I'm not in any hurray to find out (about the afterlife that is) but an experience like that would certainly get me thinking.
Thanks for sharing.

Cheers Phil. There's got to be. When we think about the incomprehensible size of our universe and trillions of galaxies out there... surely, there's got to be more than just life here on Earth.

Cheers Andy. I've experienced lots of strange things over the years and I used to be very spiritual - in fact, when I lived in a caravan as a hermit many years ago (the days of writing poetry and standing in a thunderstorm naked :D ), I studied and read the Tarot cards to various folk and it was during this time when my thoughts/feelings/intuition etc were confirmed. Although I'm not in touch as much anymore, but this is where my beliefs still lay. Can't explain it, but I know we pass on to another form when we go.
