• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

The new Axminster Catalogue dropped through my door today, or 'That's where my disposable income went' as I like to call it.

Seems there are several proce increases this year, though as far as I am concerned if it helps them keep expanding the range and offering more things I didn't know I needed ;) then it's fine by me... Yes i _know_ I don't need these things etc etc. but I'm impressed at the breadth of the offering and they seem to listen to the feedback on the various ranges etc.

I notice that my new shiny mitre gauge has increased so unknowingly I save money   (that's MY logic and I'm sticking to it!)

I also notice they seem to have ditched Bessey and now have their own range of parallel clamps which are intriguing, and also cheaper than the Bessey so I will definitely try them out!

Anyone else any thoughts on the new catalogue?

Not got mine yet.

Axminster used to be my Go To but since I discovered I could get a lot of their stuff elsewhere cheaper....

Mine arrived today too & I noticed the absence of Bessey too. A few weeks ago I bought 6 of their sash clamps, they were rubbish, so I sent them back.

There customer service is very good but I'm not convinced on the quality of their own brand products.
