The original 'foot' on my sander, bought in 2004, rotted from age.
No replacements are available for this 310 Watt machine. So I took an old Mouse Pad (...remember when computers had a mouse?), and some cork road bedding for my model railway, and made a new one using contact cement for shoe repair.
At first it had a slight dip in the middle of the foot, so I marked the dip with a pencil X, and then sat it on my Einhell table belt sander / disc sander for a minute or two until my pencil X was gone. Now she is flat as new.

Another thing saved from landing in the bin! By the way, Parkside is the power tool brand of the German discounter 'Lidl', but they do have a spare parts hotline for newer articles.
