• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Nice haul

A resident few houses away is moving.
Phoned and asked if I would like to look at and fetch some timber. What a question!
(I made some brackets for her when they repaired an old table.)
Drove to them as I suspected I would take some.

Pine shelf laminated 2400mm long 600mm wide 20mm thick. A bit of a clean up and can be used on next project.
Couple of shorter narrower lengths.

4 Jigsaws, hardly used – Skil, Bosch, Ryobi, B&D

I will keep one, son can take one and the other will go to the charity shop. (Son and I already have jigsaws.)

Packets full of new blades for wood, metal and chipboard. Will split between us.

B&D Laser unit, brand new

Stanley #4 plane, probably used a couple of times.

No-name plane similar size to the Stanley, also only used a couple of times.

Brand new sockets, 32mm, 30, 29, 27, 26, 20, 19, 15. There will replace my old ones, and the old ones can go to son.

Drill bits not opened, brand new. Will top up mine and pass rest onto son.
Wood, metal and concrete.

Bucket full of drill bits, allen keys, will go to the charity store.

Builders spirit level, will go to son.

A corner cutting jig, without a saw.

Rasps and files.

Sash clamps, two, 1200mm long.

Some other smaller clamps and magnetic corner piece for welding, will go to son.

Also a wooden clock, battery motor kaput, battery leaked. New unit the ‘screw’ thing is too short by 4mm, so the gape will be deepened. (there are photos, just cant them downloaded from iPhone, they are .HEIC)

That pine shelf could get you started on a bookcase...😏

There are definitely people who aren't bothered about getting cash for their unwanted goods but want them to go to someone who understands them and can use them.

And it's good to find them - well done!

Andy the shelf is wide and long enough for 3 small round table tops ordered by son. Then I don't need to buy one.
Neighbour next door sells goods residents want to get rid of. But I find the charity shop in need of donations.
