• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

This digital git is "doin' ma heid in". The number of times - for example - I type in "miles' only to see this one-testicle-wonder change it to "Miles"...Or, "Mike's"....and so on. Ad nauseam. Anybody got a surefire way of switching off this unwanted gramnatical going?
I'm on Android, Chrome, Redmi 'phone (😡, sorry didn't know it was Chinese for ages).

N.B. Case in point. I typed "goon" above. Good old Otto changed it to "going". Is this Xenforo? Towering Trimble's Total Tonic? Chromes Complete Chaos Avoider? (Interesting. Let me away with no apostrophe in "Chromes").

Edit: "gramnatical"???? Wot? No digital magic wand?

Somewhere Sam you must be able to switch it off.
On my Samsung Android. Settings>General Management>Keyboard Settings. There are options for Auto Replace and Auto Spell Check.
HTH

Any good, Sam ?

Bless you! I had already gone down AndyP's route, only to find I had already switched Otto Korrwreckt off there. To say I fulminated would be an understatement.
I laid aside the temptation to track down this annoying, patronising wassock in the video and cauterise her vocal chords, and knock me down with a plate of soup...there was ANOTHER hidden menu!!! Sorted!!
Thank you Roger and AndyP for the constructive route finding. Achieving an Otto-free zone does however, reawaken my deep suspicions that there must be other, more insidious, more shady, menus - probably Son of X or Meta, or the Chinese Communist Party. 😳.
Sam, deeply contemplating going back to a Nokia 'brick'.
