• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. Short twin-slot shelf brackets

Any one know of a source of twin slot (aka Spur bracket) shelving brackets about 70mm long for a set of very shallow shelves please.
I want something quick, cheap and effective for a pantry wall where I want shelves that are only "1 bean tin" deep.
I could buy longer ones and cut em down but would lose the nice painted round nose ends in exchange for bare metal U shape that would need filing etc - possibly need 15-20 of em.

Think you might be out of luck, Bob, looking for something that small. 170mm is the smallest I've seen.

Couldn't you make an assembly of shelves supported on top of each other with dowel lengths? That's what we did in our pantry.

Have you got a Domino? Dead easy to knock something up with one of those.
 
They seem to start at 120mm here, Bob.
I guess cutting the other end to make them shorter would be a PITA for so many.

No blue and green gear here Roger!

Yes I'm sure there are other ways but I already have a stock of uprights so Spur brackets would be an easy solution.

Yes indeed Andy, a real pain to get the profile right on the other end. The steel is quite tough (and rightly so for the application) on the brackets and can be stamped out easily enough with a big press but a PITA to machine.

I had some mahogany ones and their uprights that you could have had but gave them away last week for burning!
