Nordic Pine
So it's our sixth anniversary in 3 weeks so need to sort out a nice gift. The U.K. Tradition is apparently sugar but we are going with the USA tradition of iron.
Mrs Woodstalker, if you have been following my garden posts greenhouse, veg patch etc., is a keen gardener so I am looking for something iron related for the garden. Nothing too expensive but something that will last.
So far I have got her: (note we flit between USA and UK traditions as suits)
1st Paper- a dozen origami roses (I was away with work so a nice surprise)
2nd cotton- a large leather bound book with cotton paper, being used as a photo album to document our daughter
3rd Leather- a large leather hand bag that she had been hankering after
4th Fruit- the fruit trees we just planted in the garden (a bit late but I did give her a credit note!)
5th wood- this is where it's starting to fall down, she has a credit note for me to make us a new bed, nothing to fancy but better than the one we currently have but unfortunately I have not got a round to it (!) and now work is taking me away so it is on my list to do. Thus far I have repaired the current one using scaffold planks to stiffen it and make the bed firmer with the foam mattress. Sleeps loads better but not exactly my finest wood work!
So I'm after ideas for sixth if anyone has past experience, all much appreciated, and no she doesn't need a new iron; I'm not that brave :eusa-shifty:
