• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

To get a semi balanced view I use Grauniad & Torygraph. Latter was £29 sub last year plus £1 for puzzles. Renewal yesterday for a year is £269 +£59. You can't cancel online has to be by phone (I had already removed paypal authority). 11 mins to answer call and with hardly any pressing at all - just insistence on cancellation - they reduced it to £29 again. It's not worth more than that as it is little better than the Daily Mail. Don't pay full price.

Interesting that Grauniad has pretty much totally removed all ability for users to comment on anything.

EDIT: ROG CORRECT. Puzzles £49. Still daft.

Been there. Got the T-shirt.smile.png Puzzles sub renewal was £49  Renewed for £4.99 Do they really think people are going to pay up £49 ?

Also have the Torygraph paper and dip in for a laugh.

Living in Lancaster I get the benefit of 'Press reader' completely free.
Most big title newspapers and magazines, both UK and world.
The subscription is paid by Lancashire library service.
I don't know whether other areas have this, but it's a great perk from library membership.

I went through the cancellation rigmarole in february, they had no interest in offering any sort of deal other than the full 200 plus , i cancelled, not worth that sort of money for what has become abysmal articles by “reporters” almost certainly working from home and just chucking bits together from web searches for the most part.

6th March I paid £25 for the annual Telegraph subscription and 50p for a year of puzzles. I think the I was about £30 p.a. The Times is silly money.
