• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I walked out with the hound at 8 this morning. New Town. Someone had gone down the street, carefully scraping ‘F**k the rich’ on the ice on the windscreens of each car.

Oh dear.

Still at least they could spell, write and construct what might be, arguably, be called a sentence.

The hound was unimpressed.

I think I'm going to stock up on home defence supplies.

If it had been some parts of the North East they would have used a key on the paintwork to write that.

If whoever did it was at either work or school, then they could eventually join those that they perceive as the rich.

I'm glad you avoided the temptation to use the obvious "the peasants are revolting" headline.

One has to wonder, then, whether this person considered anyone owning a car to be rich. If so, presumably the intellectual giant carrying out this advertising campaign for the everyone-but-me party was a child. How high up the vehicles was the writing?

I had to try very hard to avoid that.

Example:

No footsteps on the bonnet so they had to be tall enough to reach across the windscreen. At least two different typescripts. And that's enough Miss Marple from me.

No real damage done, I suppose. But still.

A rather nice hand script on the bonnet, but I must protest, we don't fuck the rich, you don't know where they've been.

No, we boil them with carrots and onions in a beetroot broth to firstly flavor and tenderise the meat but also to kill of any nasty bacteria they may have collected from interbreeding and the like. then we eat the rich (in the immortal words of Steven Tyler, who is now, quite possibly one to be considered for the pot).

Serving suggestion would be with seasonal veg and a Chianti reduction.

Ah we sure this isn't a campaign by someone "rich" who simply feels a lack of lovin' in their life? They've just left off the "please" in a bid not to come across as too desperate.

You forgot the fava beans.

It is surely a suggestion. An excellent way for some in society to elevate their station perhaps. The prince and the pauper is an age old theme.

The bonnet one I suspect was done by a female, no man would use a o on a letter i. :D

By the end of the day we should have their names and addresses with all the sleuths on the case :D

Reminds me of the chat between Michael Parkinson and Jimmy Tarbuck about peeing their names in the snow after a drinking session one winter back in the 70s.

Parky's was in Tarby's handwriting. :D
