• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I'm trying to post a video I've recorded but I've tried YouTube and it didn't work (said not authorised)?
I created it using Final Cut Pro X which has an export (Share) to Youtube. It didn't share and gave no explanation only "unauthorised"??
It did contain some music but it was copyright free?
Works fine on my gear at home.

Do you have a YouTube account set up? I think you need that before you can upload.

The upload from FCPX failed but I managed to upload it to YT "manually".
I did a test during the night - inserting the link between the "YT insertion brackets" didn't really work but just inserting the link did.
It worked really well on my phone but a bit erratic on my PC.
YT don't really like it as it doesn't fully comply to their suggested settings. But I don't seem to be able to change them on FCPX?
I'm a bit concerned about privacy so going to set up another account using a pseudonym".

to embed you just need to copy the bit after the = in the youtube address and paste between the tags that appear in the post when you select the youtube button

Thanks Andy and Roger, this is a HD one 1080p uploaded direct from FCPX

The other was 720p but on my screen at home not a lot of difference except the bigger one took ages to load?

Whenever I toggle between 1080p and 720p on any Youtube vid I can never tell the difference. Might be my eyes though.
