• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hmmmmm.

The summary of this is, it’s possible for people to misspell or mishear words so it’s a fallible solution.

That’s EVERY solution on the planet. It even says at the end that there’s no evidence it has caused issue, just that it could.

Feels like it’s been written for the sake of finding an opinion.

I don’t disagree with the notion that’s it ‘could’ cause issues, but it’s possibly the best/easiest solution out there right now imo.

Fair play. I get the sentiment of it, just felt a little bit like a moan about what 'might' be.

Always good to look for those things, but as always the data of failures is king in that situation.

Don't get me wrong, Mark.. I agree with you entirely. Have re-modified the OP as it did read wrong !
 
I've replied to Roger in greater length privately, but here's a wee subsidiary thought: I had a camera lock.up dead on me one winters day on Slieve Donard, battery frozen into catatonia....it does not matter how sophisticated your "rescue" app is, it's only as good as the functionality of the device operating it. And, if through weather, immersion or damage,, your electronic comfort blanket becomes totally useless, well, you're screwed. Just sayin,',
