• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I spent hours the other day on the internet, trying to find replacements sink plugs for our Franke bowls.
It was really the rubber washers I needed and was prepared to pay for the whole unit but not the £17 each that I kept coming up with!
I eventually found a cloned version at £3.60 which, even if the metal part didn't fit, I could probably use the washer, so I ordered a couple.
The next day, for some strange reason, I searched again and stumbled across Central Services Uk which is Franke's parts arm and found a matching photo but they are not listed as "sink plugs" or anything like it but "Grill for Basket Chrome"!!
No wonder I couldn't find them.
The good news a new complete unit costs £6 odd and the washers £2 - those people on the net, selling at £17, were making quite a profit! [emoji35]

It is quite a problem sometimes finding the right search term. You know what you want but what is it called..

I find 'thingumeejig' usually works and if that fails then 'gubbins' often does the trick :lol:
 
I find that if you get somewhere near a few word description of the thingumyjig and put that into google IMAGE search, you can usually stumble on a picture what you want, click on it to get the proper name from the associated website.
