• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Wine Table

Nice barley twist.

Are you okay Malc? You seem to be suffering from some fairly severe verbal diarrhoea.

I've been trying to deal with a French bank today and so I've been overcome by an attack of effusiveness.

Sorry. ;)

Goodness, Mike, there's quite a lot of work in that little table. Very nice.

Mike, It’s not as bad as it seems. The barley twists are made with the router in a home made router lathe and the rest is band saw and spindle moulder work. We have two in daily use, and I have made a number of similar items as gifts. They are an enjoyable thing to make but the description is a little off since I’m not a wine buff so mine acts as resting place for coffee cups and beer mugs! If I were hand carving the barley twists I think I might have stopped after one table.

No need. She's doing the washing up. ;)

You’re wife Rob? Hope all goes as you would wish, she’s a long way from home.
Nice little table, some are held together with a thread on the boss under the legs, but I suspect there isn’t a need for yours to come apart so why create work.

Sorry, Rob. It was quite surreal reading your comment out of context, so I wrongly assumed it was anther amusing comment to mine.

I apologise unreservedly.

I hope she recovers quickly.

No problem Malc. She had her op at 0.15hrs our time (0900hrs Tokyo time) and as yet I've not had any communications from her - Rob
