• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Wonder what's happening at 8pm across the BBC?

Tonight. It's been heavily trailed. And being broadcast across every single channel including the Internet. Very intriguing. Looking at what happened in history today yields no obvious candidates. OK...Pooh-tin was born today but that is hardly any cause for celebration.

We shall see.

Cat Watch. BBC2.

I think I may be washing my hair......

It seems very hush hush. Chris Evans trailed it again this morning. Maybe HRH is abdicating?

It's the BBC music record for Children in Need !! They did well to get those singers FOC. :obscene-drinkingcheers:

There were a few in there I didn't recognise, but good to see Brian Wilson who wrote the original score in there a couple of times.

This seems to be yet another example of a modern marketing/advertising method.

I've seen a few showing of this video now with no explanation or tag other than "BBC Music"
Why don't they just say what they are doing, how to donate to their cause now etc.

I'd have started off with the announcement, "Here is the BBC contribution to the 2014 CIN campaign, play the video, run some credits for those of us who did not recognise everyone and then say " give us your dosh".

The product adverts that do similar things just leave me with the feeling that "oh yes it is that stupid ad that does not tell you anything and I mentally switch off and am turned off the product when it is eventually revealed.

It it just me, or is it an age thing. Am I turning into an angry old release of bowel gas ?

Did anyone hear the R4 PM answer to this "event"? Yesterday evening, about 5.50. The build-up was priceless. If you go to I Player to listen to it, you have to listen to the introduction, and not just the rendition of The Archer's theme tune done by a succession of R4 types. Brilliant! Eddie Mayer is a star.......
