• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hi all,

I started out using WoodworkUK forum about 12 years or more ago and see lately that it's not well attended but recently went to update a post I recently made and can't seem to be able to log on any more. Even tried re-setting my password but that's not working and can't sign up for a new user either?

Anyone know what's gone wrong with the forum?

Well I can't get on it at all at the moment Bob.

I know it's been dying for a while Bob and it's a shame as it was a bit different to The Woodhaven2 which could be slightly handy at times.

I started a thread similar to one I put on here and was just going to upload some more pic to finish it off.

Never mind, it would be a shame if it closed down but I think that where it may be heading.

@Meccarrol you don’t come up in a search when I put your username in the author search box but I found you by your username in a general search.
It appears you haven’t been on the site for 2 years 3 months but it did allow me to to send you a PM which I did just saying “hello” it will be interesting if you receive it, I usually get an email notification of a PM with a link to sign in so I wondered if it would be the same for you, you may need to look in your junk file.

I know they did something to the software (?) a while back as how you uploaded photos changed a little, I also know I’ve not been able to find older members in the author search even though I know they existed, plus I’ve also lost quite a few PMs perhaps this is why older unused accounts have dropped off their system.

You might be the only one on the "WoodworkUk" forum soon Bob LoL

As you still logged in to WoodworkUK perhaps you could send an internal message informing them of the situation.

I've not heard from Jason after leaving several messages and just hope he's OK.

David O asked for someone to take over the running of WWUK years ago as it was costing him money at a time he couldn’t really afford it, also he’d given up woodwork & had retrained as a paramedic if I remember correctly. Mark numbers offered to take up the reins but I don’t think anything came of that.
I’m guessing the funding has run out or there’s an update that needs doing that is beyond Jase’s pay grade hence the forum not working :eusa-think:
 
I’ve had a look tonight Prom hasn’t been active over there since the 5th of February 2023, David O & Andy’s Woodshed both haven’t been active since 23rd of April 2023 & the last time JFC visited was the 13th of December 2023.
So with Jase’s track record with buttons it’s not surprising it’s not working :lol:

I did try to ask why Bob & Rog couldn’t log in but got this
