A bit of a heads up on energy pricing.
Just been looking around the market and see there are starting to be a few competitive looking tariffs on offer again after a period of a year or so with no effective competition.
If you are on a variable tariff now, then it could be worth fixing as forecast prices go up 12% on 1st Oct
If like me, you are on a fix with an exit penalty and coming to its end in less than 50 days you are entitled to switch now without penalty.
Some companies have now dropped the exit fees meaning that if you fix and then next year the prices drop you can get out without penalty
Leaving things till nearer October, will almost certainly see rises in the fixed price offers from the current rates.
