• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

third guess 4 green
fourth guess 5 green

Yes, the scoring just shows how many guesses you took to solve all your puzzles so far, with the latest entry in green.

Clearly a luckier choice at 2 was the difference twixt Andy and me. So still a stoopid game. :lol:

I'm sure he's doing an experiment on us, training us with fresh categories of harder words, and probably generating stats on how we respond. Do we get better at solving, get worse or give up?
 
They're not a waste of time. They're the sort of mental gymnastics that keep us mentally young as we age.

Mind, I'm coming to the opinion that I wasn't aging this fast before.

Again made a stupid mistake. Had more letters on 2nd guess than third.

My wife and I have a friendly competition going on this, but I've now suggested that we should multiply the number of guesses by the time taken. Sometimes she spends hours on it!
 
3 today. the correct word was far more normal than my choice for the second word. :lol:

Knew I was feeling below par this morning, but hadn't realised it included going temporarily colour-blind. As a result spent three guesses trying to place a letter that was already in the right place. :eusa-doh: Once that penny dropped (very slooooowly) it was straightforward. So yeah, safe to say my average is getting much, much worse.
